Next South Iceland wool week will be in 2026. Dates will be announced in 2025.

No, Wool Week in South Iceland is every other year. Wool week was supposed to be for the first time in 2020, but Covid-19 changed that and it was therefore postponed until 2021. Then we had Wool Week again in 2022 and was again in 2024 and every other year from now on.

Workshops, sheep colour show, market day with food trucks, knitting café at Þingborg community center, knitting evening with a free lecture, open studios and more.

Booking workshops is closed at the moment but you can look at which workshops were at the Wool Week in 2024 in the menu at the top of the page.

Þingborg Woolshop, Uppspuni – Minimill, Feldfé, Hespuhúsið and The Spinning Sisters are those that organise the Wool Week.
